I’ll bet you’ve seen products that are labeled as BPA-Free. They’re very common in stores these days. But although that BPA-Free label may sound reassuring, what does it really mean? And in particular, does it mean that a BPA-Free product is safer than a product that contains BPA? Are products made with BPA safe?
There’s no scientific basis to say that a BPA-Free product is safer than a product made with BPA. Based on extensive scientific research, FDA unambiguously states that, “BPA is safe.” It’s not likely that a BPA-Free alternative can match the long safety track record of products made with BPA.
