Environmental Safety

The effects of BPA on the environment have been widely studied.
How Polycarbonate Plastic and Epoxy Resins are Made
The manufacturing of polycarbonate plastic or epoxy resin is a highly efficient process. The process is designed to consume BPA during manufacture of the plastic or resin. What small amount of BPA is left over from the manufacturing process can be well controlled by good workplace practices.
BPA is Biodegradable
BPA is readily biodegradable – it breaks down rapidly and does not linger in the environment.
BPA in the Environment
It has been demonstrated that BPA efficiently biodegrades in wastewater treatment systems. Any residual BPA that makes it into the environment quickly decomposes and does not accumulate in the environment.
